Mojacar Pueblo | Mojacar Villa

The old Moorish village of Mojacar is comprised of cubic whitewashed houses and restaurants superimposed onto the side of a hill. The village was built around a fresh water fountain that would have been the heart of the village and is a great place to visit today to fill your water bottles! Mojacar Pueblo is only a short drive or a hop on a bus away. Market day at the Pueblo is on a Wednesday each week.

We have always found the village to be particularly magical in the evening. There are many delectable shops in the village’s many little streets, offering a variety of craft products, reminiscent of the old Arab markets. The central square is a popular meeting spot to enjoy sundowners and admire the hilltop view before deciding which restaurant to eat dinner in!
